Examples of audio files in different formats

Audio WAV files are opened by default in Windows Media Player.this player can play all the major audio and video formats. You need to preview to hear the audio. All these show a small version of the audio player.

A tiny sound file - in WAV format (12.1kb)

Short audio plugin - a small WAV file to give a sound (152kb) Not streamed.

A medium music file in MIDI format - not streamed (23.6kb)

Long audio plugin - an .asf file - (475kb)

You can also load sound files in Apple's .mov format but they take up a lot of space.
